Last month's numbers were the lowest for the state since sports betting began at the beginning of the year. The Ohio Casino Control Commission, the state's sports betting regulator, has released a new report with information about the financial status of licensed mobile and retail sports betting companies in the state. The numbers for April are shown in the report, and they reveal a significant drop in the betting handle when compared to the previous month. According to the latest data, $520,576,451 was wagered on sporting events in April alone. When compared to the approximately $740 million in betting handle reported for Ohio a month earlier in March, this statistic represents a considerable drop. For 2018, April's performance was the worst so far, followed by February's $639 million in sports wagers. The drop in betting handle was more than 50 percent compared to April's numbers. The majority of the $520.6 million in total betting handle was made through mobile service providers. In April, mobile betting accounted for almost $505.6 million of the total betting transaction, while retail establishments contributed only $14.9 million. It is more than how much does a sports betting software cost. According to hockey handicapping tips, brick-and-mortar sportsbooks earned $1.5 million in April, while their mobile counterparts made $62.2 million. As would have been predicted, the numbers showed a decline compared to March's revenue numbers.
